FIRE BEAT: Fire at used car business

A fire caused $50,000 in damage last night at AutoStart USA Auto Sales.

Located at 6800 State Avenue, the fire was reported just after 10 p.m. last night. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

"Crews forced entry into the building found one vehicle inside of service shop totally involved," said Craig Duke, spokesperson for the department. "The fire was under control within 15 minutes. Vehicle was a total loss, estimated damage to building and contents $50,000."

No one was injured during the fire.
