This is apparently what it's like to live in a county with a bankrupt government. Is this what our health care will become also?

I do not know what the UG budget or strategy is on snow removal, but it may be time to rethink it. I saw the trucks (Obviously Purchased During The Carter and Reagan Administrations) out there, and it looked like they were trying to do their best but it seemed futile. They just need to focus on the arterial streets, and maybe hit some particularly precarious spots on the side streets, but that is it. There are too many cars parked on the residential streets and the city plow just weaves through there, accomplishing not much more than building a wall at the end of your driveway. And lets face it.. the snow is usually gone within 72-96 hours anyway.

We had a plow come down our street on Saturday evening but he got stuck. With the help of some neighbors he did get out. The driver that came down Sunday night did a spectacular job. We live on a dead end street with virtually no place to turn around and cars parked all over the side of the road. The gentleman that came down Sunday backed down the street 5 times and in the 28 years we have lived there that was the best job I had ever seen. I didn't expect them until Monday because their priorities have to be the main roads. Many of us neighbors were helpiing to shovel the street prior to the plow coming, but he did a wonderful job.
